In this virtual community space which will unfold across Saturday and Sunday we will explore and reflect on Indigenous, pre-colonial constructs of gender and sexuality. Saturday’s event titled The Call, will be just that: A call to remember, to resituate, and to reconcile what was, what is, what has been lost, and what has survived or evolved. During Sunday’s event The Response, the stage will be set to respond to these hxstories, these identities, practices, and customs. In this shared space you will be encouraged to present and position yourself within, around, and through our course of study and research. No previous research necessary. Please arrive ready to listen, share, and question.

In diesem virtuellen Community-Raum, der sich über Samstag und Sonntag entfalten wird, werden wir indigene, vorkoloniale Konstruktionen von Geschlecht und Sexualität erforschen und reflektieren. Die Veranstaltung am Samstag mit dem Titel The Call wird genau das sein: Ein Aufruf, sich zu erinnern, neu zu verorten und zu versöhnen, was war, was ist, was verloren gegangen ist und was überlebt oder sich entwickelt hat. Während der Veranstaltung The Response am Sonntag wird die Bühne bereitet, um auf diese Geschichten, Identitäten, Praktiken und Bräuche zu antworten. In diesem gemeinsamen Raum werdet ihr dazu ermutigt, euch innerhalb, um und durch unseren Studien- und Forschungskurs zu präsentieren und zu positionieren. Keine vorherige Forschung notwendig. Bitte kommt bereit zu hören, zu teilen und zu fragen.
